Hillside Electronics Corp. was established in Worthington MA in 1981 to repair and sell POS printers and equipment. We are a small but still growing business located in the beautiful hilltowns, nestled in the foothills between Pittsfield and Northampton. We pride ourselves in operating a company that has a laid-back, family-like atmosphere, and a supportive and friendly staff.


We are seeking a Printer Repair Technician for the troubleshooting and board-level repair of electro-mechanical printers and components predominantly used in the POS technology marketplace.

Our ideal candidate would be a true team player who embraces teamwork but is also capable of working independently. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, and who possesses a strong mechanical and technical aptitude, problem solving skills, and excellent attention to detail. This position requires good analytical skills in interpreting electronic circuit performances, along with skillful controlled manipulation of small objects for logical disassembly and rebuild.

Training will be provided, but preference will be given to those who have experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, an ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics, good soldering skills, and proficiency with electronic test equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot analog or digital print devices to component level
  • Apply diagnostic knowledge in electronic principals of circuits and component operation
  • Apply knowledge of printer, computer theory and terminology
  • Operate test equipment including scopes and multimeters
  • Solder/rebuild etches
  • Build small circuits
  • Document repairs
  • Inspect, evaluate and develop procedures on new product offerings
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships
